The El Sukry Group was established in 1976 by its founder and now chairman Abdullah Said El Sukry, who started his career as a mechanic. The El Sukry Group is now considered one of the leading automotive services companies and the largest independent repair facility in the Sultanate of Oman, and has earned the confidence of thousands of its customers and the respect of its peers in the automotive repair market.
At its humble beginning, El Sukry started out with only 15 employees and dealt mainly with small accident repairs, painting jobs and lube servicing for vehicles, but today El Sukry has grown exponentially. The company has over 150 well-qualified employees, covering fields from automobile services and repair, heavy vehicle and equipment servicing and repair, boat, yacht and ship services with its maritime division, supplies for the aviation industry and, as the latest addition to the group, armoring, bulletproofing and tactical modification.
El Sukry has been a pioneer in its field in the Sultanate for many years. For starters, it was the first independent auto repair and servicing company in Oman. Moreover, it was the first company to introduce new technology such as the first automatic car wash machine, paint spray booth and chassis alignment system along with many other firsts in its field of business.
